HMIs: Software as a service captures diverse data into enterprise dashboard

myDIALS News: Data aggregation via software into a dashboard isn’t new, but Wayne Morris, CEO of myDials says implementation of myDials software as a service (SaaS) is an order of magnitude quicker than traditional dashboard approaches (as quick as one to two weeks). Morris visited Control Engineering in Oak Brook in February; myDials is based in Lafayette, CO.

JDSU featured in Communications Technology: JDSU Adds to WaveReady Line

JDSU added to its WaveReady product line of scalable optical transport solutions designed for access and metro optical networks. Added to the portfolio are a 10 Gbps tunable transponder with forward error correction (FEC), a power balancing system, and a 40-channel universal multiplexer/de-multiplexer. The new products will be on display at CeBIT 2009 in Hannover, Germany, March 3-8.

Pentaho Launches Gold Partner Program for Open Source Resellers

Pentaho News: Pentaho, which specializes in commercial open source business intelligence (BI), has launched a formal Gold Reseller Program as part of a global push for the company. The VAR Guy is hardly surprised, given his ongoing dialog with Pentaho Channel Chief Lars Nordwall. Although details about the gold program are sketchy, Pentaho seems to be catching on with solutions providers.
