Tandberg Data featured in Enterprise Storage Forum: Tandberg Data Ships LTO-5 Tape Line

Tandberg Data says the company is now shipping a full line of systems based on LTO-5 tape technology, ranging from entry-level autoloaders to 40-slot libraries. According to this report on Infostor, Tandberg’s lineup includes write once, read many (WORM) technology and hardware-based 256-bit encryption.

Pentaho featured in iTWeb: BI for iPad arrives

Open source business intelligence (BI) provider Pentaho has unveiled a plug-in that delivers interactive analytics for the Apple iPad business user.

According to Pentaho, the plug-in offers iPad users the ability to create analytical reports as well as navigate and access existing business intelligence information from the device.

The company claims the Pentaho Analyzer on the iPad provides ad hoc query and data visualisation capabilities with rich interactivity and secure content distribution.
