JDSU Provides Key Optical Components to Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory for World’s Highest-Energy Laser System

Milpitas, Calif., June 29 , 2009 – JDSU (NASDAQ: JDSU and TSX: JDU) today announced  that it is supplying optical components called electro-optic modulators for the new National Ignition Facility (NIF) laser system at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory located in Livermore, California.

Fujitsu Inks Long-Term IT Infrastructure Services Agreement With Alliance Data

Fujitsu America today announced it has entered into a long-term outsourcing agreement with Alliance Data, a leading provider of loyalty and marketing solutions derived from transaction-rich data. Under terms of the agreement, Fujitsu will assume the Alliance Data Information Technology Services (ITS) function, which services Alliance Data business units, as well as five other existing clients.

JDSU Introduces First Centralized Remote PON Test System for Faster Turn-up and Restoration of IPTV and Other Broadband Services

Milpitas, Calif., June 18, 2009 – JDSU today introduced the first centralized remote Passive Optical Network (PON) test system, a unique solution that tests point-to-multi-point networks from the central office (CO) using a web browser. This application is a complementary application to the widely used JDSU Optical Network Management System (ONMS) that includes point-to-point fiber monitoring and GIS based outside plant documentation. The system supports service providers migrating to PON by delivering a fast and cost-effective method of turning up and restoring IPTV and other broadband services to meet users’ quality of experience expectations.

JDSU Adds Industry-First Line-Rate 10GigE Capture/Decode Test Features to Widely Adopted T-BERD®/MTS Platform
