Majority of Businesses to Increase or Maintain Marketing Budgets in Second Half Of 2009
–Follow-up survey of nearly 1,000 business executives finds that email remains top choice for increased investments over more traditional channels –
Redwood City, Calif., July 20, 2009 – Marketers are surprisingly optimistic about the economy for the second half of the year, according to the June “2009 Marketing Trends Survey” released today by StrongMail Systems, Inc., the leading provider of commercial-grade solutions for marketing and transactional email. Even in the midst of the current recession, 42 percent of nearly 1,000 global business leaders polled plan to increase marketing budgets in 2009, and an additional 43 percent plan to maintain current levels.
