Vyatta Turns Cisco’s Gross Profit Into Discount for Customers

BELMONT, CA–(Marketwire - October 20, 2009) - Vyatta, the leader in open networking and network virtualization, today announced the ‘Gross Profit - Sweet Savings’ promotion that discounts all Vyatta networking subscriptions and Vyatta 2500 series appliances. Customers that purchase a pair of subscriptions or appliances from November 4 through 18 will receive a discount based on Cisco’s gross profit margin as calculated after Cisco’s earning announcement on Wednesday, November 4. Since Vyatta originally launched this promotion, Cisco’s gross profits have been consistently in the mid-to-high sixties, netting Vyatta customers up to 36 percent discounts.
